Equipment

  • Saucepan
  • Wooden skewers or lollipop sticks
  • Parchment paper or cooking spray

Ingredients

Candy Coating

  • 72 Jolly Rancher candies assorted neon colors, 12 per apple
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 cup granulated sugar

Apples & Tools

  • 6 Granny Smith apples or any firm apple, washed and dried
  • 6 wooden skewers or lollipop sticks
  • cooking spray or parchment paper for lining tray

Instructions

  • Wash and dry apples thoroughly. Remove stems and insert skewers firmly into the core. Place apples on a parchment-lined tray or lightly sprayed surface.
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar, corn syrup, and water. Stir until sugar dissolves completely.
  • Add Jolly Rancher candies and stir occasionally until they melt into a smooth, bubbling syrup. This takes about 10–15 minutes.
  • Carefully tilt the pan and dip each apple, swirling to coat. Let excess drip off, then place the apple back on the prepared tray.
  • Allow apples to cool at room temperature until the coating hardens—usually within 15 minutes. Enjoy immediately or store for later.

Notes

Try mixing different Jolly Rancher colors for a marbled effect, or drizzle extra syrup over cookies to make easy candy apple cookies.
