Ingredients
  

Beef Mixture

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup frozen corn

Topping

  • 2 cups shredded cheese
  • 1 bag frozen tater tots
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish.
  • In a skillet, cook ground beef and onion over medium heat until beef is browned. Add garlic and cook for another minute. Drain excess grease.
  • Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, milk, frozen corn, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer for a couple of minutes.
  • Spread the beef mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle half of the shredded cheese over the top.
  • Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer over the beef and cheese mixture.
  • Bake uncovered for 35-40 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden and crispy.
  • Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top and bake for another 5 minutes until melted. Let it cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For extra crispiness, bake the tater tots for 10 minutes before adding them to the casserole.
