Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish.
In a skillet, cook ground beef and onion over medium heat until beef is browned. Add garlic and cook for another minute. Drain excess grease.
Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, milk, frozen corn, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer for a couple of minutes.
Spread the beef mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle half of the shredded cheese over the top.
Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer over the beef and cheese mixture.
Bake uncovered for 35-40 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden and crispy.
Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top and bake for another 5 minutes until melted. Let it cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For extra crispiness, bake the tater tots for 10 minutes before adding them to the casserole.
