  • 1 1/3 cups mashed bananas about 3–4 medium bananas
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp coarse salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup butter softened
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips divided

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease your bundt pan well. Set aside.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  • In a separate large bowl, beat together the eggs, butter, oil, sugar, and brown sugar until well combined. Stir in the mashed bananas.
  • Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Do not overmix.
  • Fold in half of the chocolate chips. Pour the batter into the bundt pan and sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips on top.
  • Bake for 40–45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with just a few moist crumbs. Let cool for 10 minutes in the pan before inverting onto a wire rack.

Notes

For extra indulgence, drizzle with banana icing frosting made from mashed banana, powdered sugar, and a splash of milk.
