Description
Snow crab legs are a seafood delicacy known for their sweet, tender, and flaky meat. Harvested from cold waters, they have a bright orange shell that’s easy to crack and are usually pre-cooked for convenience.
Ingredients
- Snow crab legs (fresh or frozen)
- Water (for boiling or steaming)
- Salt (optional, for seasoning)
- Butter (melted, for dipping)
- Lemon wedges (for serving)
Optional: Garlic, herbs, or spices for added flavor.
Instructions
- Boil: Fill a large pot with water, add salt, and bring to a boil. Add crab legs and cook for 4-7 minutes. Drain and serve.
- Steam: Place crab legs in a steamer basket over simmering water. Cover and steam for 5-7 minutes.
- Bake: Preheat oven to 375°F, brush crab legs with butter, wrap in foil, and bake for 10-15 minutes.
Notes
- Most snow crab legs are pre-cooked; reheat, don’t overcook.
- No need to thaw frozen legs; just cook 1-2 minutes longer.
- Add lemon, garlic, or seasoning to boiling/steaming water for extra flavor.
- Serve with dipping sauces like garlic butter or Cajun butter.
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 2 days and reheat gently.
